Our logo is Clio, the Greek muse of history, with a scroll with OKCHE written on it.

| Mission Statement OKCHE supports history as the core of the social studies in schools.
Goals OKCHE advocates the importance of providing sufficient time in the curriculum for world and U.S. history and support for quality teaching and materials.
- Promote and advance the teaching and learning of history at all educational levels from elementary through university level, as well as for the general public.
- Encourage and support the development and implementation of effective curricula for history education by working within the educational community and with public-policy makers.
- Conduct professional development activities for history educators and resource providers.
Who are we? OKCHE membership consists of historians, college professors and history teachers, school administrators, authors, publishers, historical association and historical museum personnel, history buffs, in short, anyone who loves history. Fostering equal partners in building a community of learners through: - Building broad-based membership
- Conducting professional development
- Fostering quality teacher preparation
- Supporting meaningful state curricula
- Hosting website with teacher resources
- Encouraging National History Clubs in Oklahoma high schools
- Encouraging Phi Alpha Theta in Oklahoma universities
